Summer 2023 Events
Take and Make
Friends of Les Cheneaux Community Library will be sponsoring “Take and Make” crafts throughout the summer. The kits contain any special materials you will need, although for some kits you may need to use your own scissors, tape, markers, or glue. Kits are available to all ages on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. Check back often for new kits.
Please check the Les Cheneaux Community Library’s Facebook page for up-to-date information on kits and activities available.
Story on the Porch

Little Free Art Gallery
Once again, Friends of Les Cheneaux Community Library is sponsoring a Little Free Art Gallery on the library grounds. The gallery is based on The Little Free Library concept of book sharing except in this instance it is art sharing. Art size is limited to anything smaller than 4”x6" (postcard). All types of art are welcome. Stop by and have a look around—feel free to take a piece, leave a piece, or both. The only rule is that you can’t take the furniture or the patrons.
Reading Buddies
Our summer reading program, “All Together Now” runs from June 3rd through August 19th. Children are welcome to complete an adoption application to be eligible to take home a reading buddy (while supplies last).
